當這首歌以配樂的方式出現在電影 Les portes de la nuit 時,
並未瘋行,但生於托斯坎尼的法國影歌雙棲男歌手 Yves Montand
頗欣賞這首由著名法國詩人Jacques Prévert
所作詞的歌曲,因此排入演唱會的曲目中.
1949年"枯葉"終於受到美國的流行創作巨匠
Johnny Mercer 的注意,而填入英文歌詞,
將"枯葉"變成了"秋葉",才讓它的動聽旋律席捲全球歌壇,
